Two young men, Chudi-Hengari-Ajufo, 19, of Nigerian descent, and Ronnie Atuqiya, 21, were jailed for life on July 3rd for the murder of David Maxwell in Southwark, London. Ronnie Atuqiya will serve a minimum of 20 years while Chudi Hengari-Ajufo will serve a minimum of 16 years.
In November 2014, the two young men pursued the victim, David Maxwell, down a street on Long Lane, Southwark, and stabbed him in the back, chest and shoulder in broad daylight. David later died in hospital. One stab wound had pierced his heart.
The victim The boys were arrested days after the incident when CCTV footage showed David being followed by the two young men and also showed them running away from the scene. Eyewitnesses also identified them. Even after being found guilty and jailed, it remains unclear the motive for the attack. |
