President Muhammadu Buhari is set to make his first official foreign trip this week with visits to Niger and Chad, his spokesperson has said.
Buhari will embark on a two-day trip to both countries on Wednesday, June 3, 2015, to hold talks on Boko Haram.
This was disclosed by Presidential media aide, Garba Shehu on Monday, June 1, according to AFP.
Shehu explained further that the trip would focus on "matters of security."
Buhari has promised to deal effectively with the sect which he has described as mindless and godless and also as a fraud which plays on people’s religious sentiments.
