The All Progressives Congress (APC) has suspended five of its members in Baruten Local Government Area of in Kwara State, for anti party activities.
The Publicity Secretary of the party in the state, Alhaji Sulaiman Buhari, announced the suspension in a statement issued in Ilorin on Thursday, May 28.
Senator Mohammed Ahmed, and a state legislator, AlhajiAdamu Sabi, were suspended for one year, while Chairman of the local government, Muhammed Omar Bio, was suspended for six months.
Alhaji Aliyu Kora-Sabi and Muhammed Sunu Gofe were also suspended from the party for one year each.
According to the statement, their suspension followed a report submitted by a panel of enquiry set up by the state APC into their activities.
The statement said that their suspension is with immediate effect.
