Saraki ‘Governors owe workers due to corruption,’ Senate President says
Senate President, Bukola Saraki has said that the widespread corruption in the country in the reason why some state governors are unable to pay their workers’ salaries.
Saraki made the statement on Monday, July 6, 2015, when the Chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission (ICPC), Ekpo Nta, paid him a courtesy visit.
“The cost of corruption on our national life is beyond financial cost. You see in some states now that they are not paying salaries,”Saraki said.
