Myths exist to confuse us many times.
Sometimes myths may have been started in honest ignorance, but, after a few passing around, it becomes ‘the truth’ that negates the truth.
Today, Wha’anda presents three truths that may sound like myths but are actually true even if they look logically stupid.
You just got to believe and do the needful:
- Kissing, for example, can spread herpes and deeper kissing can even spread oral gonorrhea and chlamydia. Also, skin rubbing together can pass infections such as genital warts, herpes, scabies, and pubic lice.
- Condoms don’t give 100% protection from diseases and pregnancy. Even condom makers will tell you that abstinence and staying faithful to one partner is the best protection. You can be totally safe with a condom – but it offers really good insurance.
- You can get pregnant during your period. It is very rare, but you can actually get pregnant in your periods. Doctors say this can happen with some women who have long periods that overlap with the beginning of ovulation, causing them to be fertile even as they ovulate.
These are rock-solid truths!
