The 56-year-old former Empoli boss has been confirmed as Rafael Benitez's replacement at the San Paolo for the coming season.

Maurizio Sarrihas replaced Rafael Benitez as head coach at the club.
The Partenopei saw the Spaniard step down at the end of the season before taking over at Real Madrid, and have moved swiftly to appoint his replacement.
The club announced on Thursday that an agreement has been reached for Sarri to take charge ahead of the 2015-16 season following a three-year spell in charge of Empoli.

Sarri, who has a wealth of coaching experience in Italy, only got his first taste of Serie A this season after guiding Empoli back up to the top flight a year ago.
The 56-year-old, who was born in Naples, guided the team to a 15th-placed finish in 2014-15 and caught the eye with his attacking approach in matches - not least in the 4-2 win over Napoli on April 30.
The former Perugia and Pescara boss is believed to have met with Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis in Rome earlier on Thursday prior to the club's announcement.
Sarri had also been linked with the AC Milan post in March, with Empoli making it clear they would not stand in the way of a move.
"When you love a little bird and it wants to fly, you don't clip its wings. We only hold on to people who are motivated to stay at Empoli," said sporting director Marcello Carli.
